The Shift Body Approach

Learning new motor patterns through the body and nervous system supports a healthier body, mind and spirit.

The Fajardo Method® incorporates both physical movement and the nervous system. The practice will educate you on the two states of the nervous system (Parasympathetic and Sympathetic - also known as Fight or Flight) and how the body physically changes during these states.  

 

Fight or Flight can contribute to structural changes in our body that impact our health, movement and perceptions. Often times we are unaware that we are in a Fight or Flight state, whether that is how we carry ourselves or the thoughts we think.

Owner of Shift Body Studio

I was introduced to the Fajardo Method® and my transformation began. I suffered from extreme allergies, hormonal imbalances and sciatica - all of which contributed to extreme adrenal fatigue. In other words I was living in a heightened state of fight or flight.

 

In time, with ongoing practice, I started to see gradual but continuous changes in my structure and immune system. This method brought me new found hope that helped reverse my state of health and improve my fitness level to where it is today. 

The impact on my well being encouraged me to open Shift Body studio where I train, practice and share my knowledge with others who want the same.

I believe that by changing our perspective and letting go of old patterns we can make room for becoming more adaptable in body, mind and spirit.
